As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated utility locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a strong visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with staff and visitors, and provide exceptional customer service through clear communication. This role requires carrying a firearm in accordance with all regulations, reflecting our commitment to reliability, teamwork, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using sound judgment and professionalism.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and control entry to restricted areas, verifying credentials and reporting any irregularities.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Communicate and collaborate with site personnel, local authorities, and Allied Universal management as needed.
  • Remain alert to unusual activity and/or conditions throughout the location, reporting concerns promptly according to procedures.
  • Adhere to all Allied Universal and client-specific guidelines for armed personnel, maintaining proper handling and storage of assigned equipment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military roles.
  • Possess an armed guard card or armed guard license as required by law.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
