Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, interact professionally with the public, and provide exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate communication and de-escalation techniques.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and control entry to restricted areas in accordance with site protocols.
  • Maintain detailed records of observed incidents, patrols and any unusual activities encountered during shifts.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and other emergency services as needed during incidents.
  • Perform security-related tasks in accordance with Allied Universal training and post orders for government environments.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Baton certification is preferred.
  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
