As a Security Officer - Mall Entry Control Unarmed in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a leading retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for visitors and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible, and provide outstanding customer service while supporting a secure environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a positive environment for visitors and staff.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any irregularities, such as property damage, suspicious activity, or unauthorized persons on the premises.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, employees, and management regarding security-related matters.
• Assist with access control and monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders as directed during incidents or emergencies.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
