What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the education location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the educational environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Assist with monitoring access points and reporting any security-related concerns to Allied Universal management and/or site leadership.
  • Support the enforcement of campus rules and regulations as outlined in site-specific instructions.
  • Document and communicate any incidents, observations, or maintenance needs discovered during patrols to the appropriate personnel.
  • Work collaboratively with campus staff and local emergency responders when necessary to address incidents and/or emergencies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • One or more of the following: at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, at least 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience, or at least 3 years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
