Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Security Officer in Marietta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Armed Officer with Allied Universal in an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service. This is an armed and driving post, where you will coordinate responses, remain highly visible, and communicate clearly with team members. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and manage access control systems to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or activities within the location.
  • Receive, prioritize, and dispatch security-related calls and information to appropriate personnel in a prompt and clear manner.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of incidents, dispatch activities, and communications as required by site-specific policies.
  • Provide customer service by responding to inquiries and assisting visitors, employees, and contractors in accordance with site protocols.
  • Communicate and coordinate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and/or Allied Universal management during critical situations or emergencies.
  • Remain alert and attentive to any unusual activity or incidents, and report findings according to established procedures.
  • Stay updated on site-specific policies, post orders, and emergency response procedures to carry out assigned duties.
  • Support security-related procedures and protocols that help to deter potential threats in an aero and defense environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license as required.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
