Job Description


As a Security Officer - Unarmed Roving CRE Patrol in Lynwood, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols throughout the property, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible and approachable. You will provide excellent customer service, respond promptly to incidents, and maintain strong communication with tenants and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergencies as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial real estate location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or unusual situations to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential issues and provide reassurance to tenants, visitors, and staff.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, confirming identification as required by site policies.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports of daily activities and incidents encountered during patrols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency personnel when necessary according to site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, or baton is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
