Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Transportation Station Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal serving a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment. Your presence and professionalism will provide reassurance to those on site, while your armed status supports the protection of people and property. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the government location and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials to help to prevent unauthorized entry.
  • Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal policies and client expectations.
  • Work closely with local law enforcement and emergency responders when required, following established protocols.
  • Maintain visibility throughout the assigned area to help to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
  • Remain alert and observant at all times while performing assigned duties in varying environments and conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Baton certification preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
