As a Security Officer - Hospital Access Control in Palm Springs, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor entrances, verify credentials, and conduct routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents. Your visible presence and excellent communication will support a welcoming environment for staff, patients, and visitors. This is a driving post, so you will also operate vehicles as needed. What You'll Do:

  • Control access to the healthcare location by verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the premises.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to help to deter unauthorized access and security-related incidents.
  • Provide customer service by addressing questions and assisting patients, visitors, and staff in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter security-related concerns and report any unusual activity.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of all access control activities, incidents, and observations as required by site protocols.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and Allied Universal team members to support a secure and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and employees.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least two years of security-related experience are required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
