Job Description


As a Security Officer - Office Tower Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service. Your visible presence and strong communication skills will contribute to a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and tenants by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial real estate property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and observations as required by site-specific protocols.
  • Communicate promptly and clearly with Allied Universal management and/or property representatives regarding any security-related matters or incidents.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, exits, and visitor activity within the location.
  • Follow all post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal and/or site management.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed by management or emergency services personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
