Job Description


As a Security Officer - Healthcare Entry Screener in Escondido, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Screener in a healthcare location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, including sensitive spaces such as hospital morgues. You will remain visible, interact with staff and visitors, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Greet and screen all individuals entering the healthcare location, following site-specific protocols to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Provide excellent customer service while carrying out security-related procedures and responding to inquiries from visitors, staff, and patients.
  • Monitor entrances and exits to help to deter prohibited items from being brought into the facility.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as appropriate per site guidelines.
  • Document and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents observed during the course of duty.
  • Maintain a visible presence at screening stations to help to deter disruptive behavior and promote a secure environment for all occupants.
  • Communicate and collaborate with healthcare staff and Allied Universal management regarding security-related concerns and emergency response activities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Experience working in a hospital morgue environment is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
