What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
  • Monitor and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or unusual occurrences within the assigned government location.
  • Assist visitors, employees, and/or contractors by providing information and enforcing access control procedures in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Work collaboratively with law enforcement and emergency personnel when necessary.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and patrol activities as required by Allied Universal and the site.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and foster a sense of security-related awareness at the government location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
