Job Description


As a Security Guard - Armed Bank Site in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned financial institution locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. This armed position involves conducting routine patrols while providing outstanding customer service and communication. You will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and integrity, making a positive impact through teamwork and a people-first approach.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at financial institution locations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter potential risks and identify unusual activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Interact with employees, visitors, and/or customers in a courteous and professional manner, providing assistance as needed.
  • Remain alert to potential security-related threats and report any concerns to the appropriate personnel or authorities.
  • Comply with all legal requirements for carrying a firearm and follow Allied Universal’s policies and procedures regarding armed posts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military roles.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
