As a Security Officer - Unarmed Retail Patrol in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail and mall locations, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Your role will include conducting routine patrols, assisting guests, and providing outstanding customer service. You will contribute to a welcoming atmosphere by communicating clearly and responding to situations with professionalism, all while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a welcoming environment.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity or potential hazards within the location, communicating findings to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access within the retail or mall environment.
• Support Allied Universal and client staff during emergency situations by following established protocols and providing assistance as directed.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned location to help to deter disruptive behavior and provide reassurance to patrons and tenants.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Being at least 21 years of age is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
