Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Chemical Patrol Driver in Midland, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol chemical and petrochemical locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing a visible presence. This position is both armed and driving, requiring you to conduct routine patrols and respond to incidents as needed. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate with professionalism, and uphold our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

What You'll Do:

  • Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies in accordance with Allied Universal standards, providing customer service to clients and visitors.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for an armed post.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of personnel entering restricted areas within the chemical and petrochemical environment.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as needed, including evacuations and coordination with local authorities.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned area to help to deter potential security-related threats and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • At least one year of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Level III armed certification is required for positions in Texas.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
