Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Healthcare Patrol in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. Your presence and proactive approach will contribute to a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation skills and appropriate communication.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor facility entrances and exits, checking credentials and assisting with access control as needed.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to site protocols.
  • Assist with emergency situations, such as medical emergencies or fire alarms, by following established procedures and supporting first responders as directed.
  • Work closely with healthcare staff and visitors to provide information, directions, and assistance while maintaining a professional and approachable presence.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any unusual or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
