Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Plant Patrol in Morris, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated manufacturing and industrial locations, helping to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding our core values of teamwork, integrity, and people-first care. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence as an armed patrol officer.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
  • Monitor for suspicious activity and report findings to the appropriate personnel and/or authorities as required.
  • Support access control by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points as needed.
  • Assist with emergency situations, including coordinating with local authorities and Allied Universal management when necessary.
  • Document and communicate any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Possess a guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
