Job Description


As a Security Officer - Hospital Unarmed Patrols in Natrona Heights, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while supporting a welcoming environment for staff, patients, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations within the healthcare location in a calm and problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or activity.
  • Document observations, incidents, and/or suspicious activities according to Allied Universal and client site protocols.
  • Communicate and collaborate with healthcare staff and local authorities as needed during incidents and/or emergencies.
  • Maintain a visible Allied Universal presence to help to deter potential disturbances and offer assistance to those in need within the healthcare environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • COVID-19 vaccination is required for hospital assignments.
  • Ability to work in hospital morgue environments is required.
  • Ability to restrain individuals in a hospital setting is required.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
