The Security Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the security operations at a designated location. This role involves ensuring a safe and secure environment for visitors and employees, monitoring security systems, and responding to security incidents.A security site supervisor manages a team of security personnel to ensure a safe environment and protect people and resources. Their responsibilities include:Hiring and trainingInterviewing, hiring, and training security staff, including new hires and current staff. Training topics may include workplace searches, drug and alcohol procedures, and safety and security topics.SchedulingOverseeing the daily workflow, schedules, and assignments of security staff.Performance monitoringMonitoring performance and conducting daily briefings. This may include accompanying guards on patrols to assess their performance and verify adherence to security rules.Incident responseResponding to incidents, monitoring CCTV and security systems, and performing regular patrols to identify potential breaches.LiaisonLiaising with the on-site manager and staff to provide advice and receive feedback.Policies and proceduresEstablishing and carrying out policies and procedures required by the organization.Record keepingKeeping diligent records to document all security-related instances that occur at their place of employment.Training programsWorking with security managers to create training programs so that all security guards can have the knowledge to fulfill their responsibilities.Continuous trainingGiving continuous training for current equipment or instructing employees on how to use newly adopted technology
