Job Description


As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Dispatch in Niskayuna, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will play a key role in communication and coordination, providing exceptional customer service and supporting a secure environment. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating communication between site personnel and emergency contacts as needed.
  • Monitor alarms, surveillance systems, and radio communications to dispatch security-related personnel to incidents or areas requiring attention within the facility.
  • Maintain logs and records of all calls, incidents, and dispatch activity in accordance with Allied Universal and client site policies.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency responders to relay critical information and instructions.
  • Assist in access control procedures by monitoring entry and exit points via electronic systems and reporting any irregularities.
  • Support Allied Universal team members by relaying information and providing updates on ongoing incidents or security-related activities throughout the shift.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR and first aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
