As a Security Officer - Armed Retail Center - Full Time in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. This is an armed and driving post, where your presence and professionalism will provide reassurance to the community. You will engage with visitors and staff, offering exceptional customer service while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter theft and promote a secure environment for employees and customers.
• Maintain detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences during patrols.
• Work collaboratively with store management and staff to address security-related concerns and provide support as needed.
• Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies or incidents involving customers, employees, or property within the retail environment.
• Carry and maintain control of a firearm as required by the post profile, adhering to all applicable laws and Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by local regulations.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III armed certification if applying in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
