As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Full Time in San Francisco, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment. This armed post involves conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and engaging with the public to provide outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a government location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while armed, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
  • Monitor for suspicious activity and report any irregularities according to site guidelines and Allied Universal protocols.
  • Assist in access control by verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel as required.
  • Prepare detailed written reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by the client site.
  • Work closely with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when necessary, following established procedures.
  • Maintain awareness of the surroundings at all times to help to deter potential threats or unauthorized behavior.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
