Job Description


As a Security Officer - Healthcare Front Desk in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and staff, helping to create a welcoming and secure environment. Your responsibilities include monitoring access, assisting with visitor management, and providing exceptional customer service while helping to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk of a healthcare location.
  • Monitor access control by verifying identification and/or credentials of individuals entering the facility and maintaining visitor logs as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
  • Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, including alerting appropriate personnel and providing guidance to individuals at the front desk.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, staff, and visitors, answering questions and providing directions or information as needed.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related concerns, or incidents to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
  • Support Allied Universal's commitment to helping to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited activities within the healthcare facility.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
