As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Armed Patrol in Newport News, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas within the manufacturing and industrial location to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
• Document observations, incidents, and activities in detailed reports for management and/or law enforcement as needed.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to address security-related concerns and support daily operations.
• Remain alert and prepared to respond to potential threats or emergencies, following established protocols and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
