As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Patrol in Newport News, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with any necessary actions as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location, including both the business interior and perimeter, to help to deter unwanted activity and/or unauthorized access.
• Document and report any irregularities, security-related incidents, or maintenance needs observed during patrols in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related concerns and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
• Assist with access control procedures, verifying credentials and/or authorizations as required by site policies.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
