As a Security Officer – Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for staff, patients, and visitors. You will engage with individuals, provide customer service, and respond to various situations with professionalism and care, reflecting our team's commitment to people-first values and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies within the healthcare environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, while following established protocols for healthcare locations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas of the location to help to deter unauthorized access and support a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Assist with emergency response activities as directed, including guiding individuals during drills or actual events according to established procedures.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and activities during each shift as required by Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Vaccinations are required for this hospital site.
• Assignment may include duties in the hospital morgue.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to restrain individuals as required by the hospital site.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
