Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Civic Patrol in Albuquerque, NM, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a highly visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with the public, and provide exceptional customer service. This armed position is ideal for those who value teamwork, integrity, and making a positive impact within their community in a dynamic and people-first environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor for unusual or suspicious activity and report observations according to site procedures.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances and/or criminal activity.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and law enforcement as needed.
  • Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines for armed patrol officers while on duty.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
