As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols throughout the facility to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Your visible presence and strong customer service skills will contribute to a positive atmosphere, while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergencies within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and sound judgment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or breaches.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances and provide reassurance to staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Document security-related incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders as required for incidents occurring on the premises.
  • Perform searches and/or inspections as required to help to deter prohibited items or activities within the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
