As a Security Officer - Data Center Access in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic tech and media environment, you will help to deter security-related incidents by managing entry points, monitoring credentials, and maintaining a visible presence throughout the location. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into the location, verifying credentials and/or identification as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues when necessary.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business premises and perimeter to help to deter potential security-related risks.
• Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and/or irregularities according to established procedures.
• Collaborate with site personnel and/or law enforcement as required to address security-related concerns at the location.
• Remain alert to security-related risks and provide assistance to employees, visitors, and/or contractors as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
