Job Description


As a Security Officer - Commercial Patrol Agent in Oceanside, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will actively monitor and patrol commercial real estate locations to help to deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming atmosphere. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to support a secure environment, and provide outstanding customer service through strong communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial real estate location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Document all activities, observations, and incidents in accordance with Allied Universal policies and client requirements.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members to address questions or concerns related to security-related matters.
  • Assist in controlling access to the location by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points as required.
  • Support emergency response activities and coordinate with local authorities or emergency personnel as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
