Job Description


As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Driver in Wheatfield, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated chemical and petrochemical locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with visitors and personnel, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. This is a driving post, where you will embody our values of agility, reliability, and teamwork while putting people first and acting with integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and performing emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity.
  • Communicate with site personnel and visitors in a professional manner, providing assistance and information as needed.
  • Complete reports and logs as required by site protocols and Allied Universal policies.
  • Remain alert to potential hazards or unusual conditions within the chemical or petrochemical environment and report findings according to site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
