Job Description


As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Government Site in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols and respond to situations as needed, providing outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor and report any suspicious activities, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
  • Assist with access control and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas as required by site policies.
  • Work closely with law enforcement and/or emergency personnel during incidents, providing accurate information and support as needed.
  • Complete detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
  • Maintain professional presence and communication while interacting with the public, staff, and visitors at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
