Job Description


As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Specialist in Baltimore, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Your presence and attention to detail will support a welcoming atmosphere for staff and visitors, while you deliver exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, respond to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter, including production and storage areas related to food and beverage operations.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity.
  • Observe and report any irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, or unusual occurrences within the location.
  • Assist with access control for employees, visitors, and contractors, verifying credentials as required by site policies.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
  • Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have a minimum of 3 years combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
