What You'll Do:

  • Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal and/or client management.
  • Provide customer service to individuals on site by assisting with directions and responding to inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including both the interior and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor for and report any hazards, suspicious persons, or activities within the chemical and petrochemical environment.
  • Assist with access control by verifying credentials and/or directing visitors as required by site procedures.
  • Support emergency response activities when appropriate, including facilitating communication with first responders and Allied Universal management.
  • Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly as part of daily duties.
  • Work in a variety of environmental conditions that may be present in a chemical and petrochemical location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
