As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, check badges, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. You will remain visible and approachable, assisting visitors and employees while providing exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Monitor and control access to the distribution facility, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel and vehicles.
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors and employees with site-specific procedures and responding to inquiries related to access control.
• Carry out security-related procedures in accordance with site policies and protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activities.
• Document all access control activities, incidents, and observations in daily logs or reports as required by Allied Universal and site management.
• Collaborate with site staff and Allied Universal supervisors to address concerns related to access and security-related matters within the logistics and distribution environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
