What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for armed personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas within the retail environment, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related concerns.
  • Document and report any incidents, observations, or unusual occurrences in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
  • Support emergency response activities as required, including assisting law enforcement or emergency personnel when needed.
  • Maintain proficiency in the use and handling of assigned firearms and adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies regarding armed security-related duties.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Hold a Level III armed certification if applying in Texas.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
