What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for armed personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and provide a visible presence.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or unauthorized access.
  • Remain alert and observant while interacting with staff, customers, and visitors, addressing security-related concerns as they arise.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal policies.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and Allied Universal guidelines for armed personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a Level III armed certification if applying in Texas.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
