Job Description


As a Security Officer - Auto Facility Patrols in Greer, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within an automotive-focused location. Your presence helps to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and communication to everyone you encounter. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and address any security-related concerns, all while embodying our values of agility, teamwork, and integrity in every interaction.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter, including areas associated with automotive operations, to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Observe and report any unusual conditions, incidents, or maintenance needs encountered during patrols.
  • Work closely with site staff and visitors to provide assistance and maintain a welcoming environment while upholding security-related standards.
  • Complete required documentation and/or reports related to incidents, patrols, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and site procedures.
  • Remain alert and attentive to surroundings while adapting to varying working environments and conditions at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Applicants who are comfortable using a computer or tablet are preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
