As a Security Officer - Logistics Screener Full-Time in Avenel, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a dynamic logistics and distribution location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and interact with people to provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Screen individuals, vehicles, and/or packages entering or exiting the logistics and distribution location to help to deter unauthorized access and prohibited items.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter security-related incidents and identify potential concerns.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, irregularities, or suspicious activities according to site procedures.
• Work collaboratively with site staff, visitors, and Allied Universal team members to support security-related operations and maintain a positive environment.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and remain alert to potential security-related threats or hazards within the logistics and distribution location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
