As a Security Officer - Tech Park Patrol in Chesapeake, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling assigned areas by vehicle while providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, as well as responding appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, utilizing training and protocols provided by Allied Universal.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings within a tech, media, and telecom environment, reporting any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Document incidents and observations accurately, following Allied Universal's reporting guidelines.
  • Assist visitors, employees, and/or contractors with security-related inquiries and provide directions or information as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
