As a Security Officer - Armed Bank Site Patrol in Newark, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents at a prominent financial institution location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and providing exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the financial institution and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
• Report suspicious activities, security-related breaches, and/or hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Carry and maintain control of assigned firearms and equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
• Assist with access control processes and visitor management as required by site procedures.
• Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly.

Minimum Requirements:

• Graduate of Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or Equivalent is required.
• Armed Guard Card or License is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
