As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Access Control in Niskayuna, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a strong presence throughout the facility. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while upholding our values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity. This is a driving post, requiring you to meet Allied Universal's driver policy requirements.

What You'll Do:

• Monitor and control access to the location to help protect personnel, property, and assets.
• Verify credentials and authorize entry for employees, visitors, and contractors in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and responding to inquiries or requests for assistance.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify any security-related concerns.
• Document and report any irregularities, suspicious activities, or security-related incidents as required by Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
• Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, following location-specific procedures.
• Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal management to maintain a secure environment within the manufacturing and industrial setting.

Minimum Requirements:

• Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Two or more years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience or a college degree is required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Five or more years of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
