As a Security Officer - Armed Bank Patrol in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents. You will remain highly visible, respond to situations as needed, and interact with clients and visitors to provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a financial institution setting.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence while armed as required by the post profile.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help control access and support site-specific protocols.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and any unusual activities observed during shifts.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed in accordance with site protocols.
  • Remain attentive to environmental and operational conditions within the location that may require additional security-related attention.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
