As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with guests and tenants, and deliver exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter, helping to deter unwanted activity.
  • Observe and report any suspicious behavior or potential security-related concerns within the retail or mall environment.
  • Assist visitors, tenants, and/or employees with directions and general inquiries as needed.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal staff and local authorities as required during incidents or emergencies.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities.
  • Support access control measures and monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized entry.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
