Job Description


As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Lead in Blythewood, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you conduct routine patrols and provide outstanding customer service. You will play a critical role in creating a secure environment by remaining visible, maintaining access control, and communicating professionally with staff and visitors, all while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and care.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergencies when needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the manufacturing and industrial location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and key areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious behavior or security-related concerns.
  • Complete detailed reports of daily activities, observations, and incidents as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
  • Collaborate with on-site staff and local authorities as necessary to address security-related matters.
  • Assist in enforcing site rules and regulations to help to deter potential disruptions or hazards in the manufacturing and industrial environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • At least 2 years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
