As a Security Guard - Education Patrol Full-Time in Bluefield, WV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact with students, staff, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and communication while supporting a secure environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response protocols as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus buildings and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or activities that do not comply with site policies.
• Document observations, incidents, and/or occurrences as required by Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
• Communicate with campus personnel and/or local authorities as needed to address security-related concerns and to support a secure campus environment.
• Remain alert while on duty and be prepared to respond to changing situations within the educational environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
