Job Description


As a Security Officer – Hospital Entrance Patrol in Monroeville, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol designated hospital areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and responding quickly to situations as they arise. Your presence and professional communication will support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations when needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the needs of the healthcare environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or incidents, following established protocols for healthcare settings.
  • Assist with controlling access to restricted areas, helping to maintain proper entry and exit procedures as required by the site.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, patients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
  • Support emergency response activities and assist first responders as directed according to site-specific protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Vaccines are required for this hospital position.
  • Applicants must be able to work in a hospital morgue setting.
  • Applicants must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
