What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other areas to help to deter prohibited activities and maintain order within the government facility.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Communicate and collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel when necessary.
  • Operate and maintain assigned security-related equipment, including firearms, in accordance with Allied Universal standards and training.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain required certifications and readiness for the armed patrol post.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
