As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol Full-Time in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with the public and staff, providing outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas for unusual or suspicious activity, reporting observations as required.
  • Work closely with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary, following established protocols.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports on all incidents, observations, and activities during the shift.
  • Maintain readiness and proper handling of assigned firearms and security-related equipment in accordance with company and site-specific guidelines.
  • Stay informed of site-specific procedures and updates to provide consistent and knowledgeable service to clients and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
