Job Description


As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Operations Government in Coral Gables, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with the public, and provide outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help maintain a secure environment.
  • Report and document any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Communicate and collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Maintain awareness of the surroundings and promptly address any security-related concerns.
  • Carry and operate a firearm in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
