As a Security Officer - Armed Vehicle Patrol Driver in Oregon, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. This position is both armed and requires driving, so a valid driver's license is needed. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the transportation facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related risks.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter unwanted activity and provide assistance as needed.
  • Monitor access points and verify identification of individuals entering restricted areas.
  • Document observations, incidents, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when required.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to potential threats or emergencies in a transportation environment.
  • Handle and carry a firearm in accordance with Allied Universal policies and all applicable laws and regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
